Is today the day that allofmp3.com went under?
I recently have been checking out allofmp3 and have been enjoying the service. So it was my surprise that this weekend I have been trying to use the service and have it give me the proverbial “Having issue with our accounting service, try again later” type of message. I didn’t have any luck with either their website or desktop client (alltunes.com). So it was to my surprise when, yet again, I tried to access it today and find that both allofmp3.com and alltunes.com isn’t pulling up at all? My desktop client (alltunes) times out as well. Is allofmp3 dead? Or perhaps it is Comcast that is not allowing me access to that site any longer? Can anyone else access them?
If it was a maintenance issue, you would think they would at least say it on their website.
UPDATE: Looks like allofmp3 saw the error of their ways and finally through up a maintenance window. Phew, we didn’t lose our money!
July 2007 UPDATE: After what looks like a nice run by the Russian site allofmp3.com got officially pulled last week by Russian officials this time. However, hours later a near identical site came up called MP3Sparks.com. Maybe their fun isn’t over yet. My thought, though, why not move their service into a country that won’t get regulated or pressured by the US?
