So i know my last post talked about branching out into my business and I do have some coming up but, I wanted to update everyone on the latest news since my gastric bypass surgery 7 weeks ago.
Well, first off, I got on the scale this morning and it landed directly on 240. YAY!!! The last time I was 240 had to have been when I lost a bunch of weight in college. Good stuff.
Another feel good story happened yesterday, with my mom, when we went to Kohl’s to pick up some polo shirts for work (and yes, my mom is part of our company as well. We keep it in the family I guess.) So anyway, I tried on my standard XL shirt and noticed it was a bit billowing in the front. So I thought, “Hmm, let’s try a large.” And you know what, it fit!! So then I was feeling frisky and decided to try some cargo pants on. Now before surgery I was a 42″ waist but knew I was below 40 so I grabbed a 38 and a 36. Went to the dressing room and tried both on and the 36 I could actually fit in!! It was snug but it buttoned so I decided to go ahead and buy them and as I lose some more weight they’ll fit.
So I’m feeling really good right now but I’m still shooting for my goal of 200 pounds. One positive thing I’ve found about me having the surgery at 27 is I can work harder than most physically that have had the surgery. Playing soccer, sprints, weights, and distance running are possible where it is hard for others to do.
I plan on some new pics soon, probably once I hit 235 or so. Thanks too everybody for their comments, questions, and support. It is finally becoming apparent to me of how valuable my decision to have gastric bypass has been to my life. I’m so thankful.
